Scuta Capital Partners was formed by the partners of Argentum Capital, bringing more than a decade of structured finance, real estate development, and operational expertise under one fully integrated platform. Argentum, our predecessor firm, specialized in structured finance advisory across healthcare, technology, and real estate — sourcing and structuring more than $400 million in commercial real estate bonds and over $2 billion in total debt and equity for clients in the lower and middle market. Scuta carries that track record forward, paired with a dedicated construction and development arm in Black Cypress Development.

Garrett T. McKenna, Partner
An entrepreneurial investment banking professional with over 15 years of experience in capital raising, structured finance, M&A, and business development across commercial real estate, healthcare, and technology. Founding Partner of TGA Advisors and The Kentros Group, and previously at J.P. Morgan Chase, where he built corporate affinity programs and strategic ventures with institutional clients.
Akash Patel, Partner
An operator and investor who pairs senior technology and product leadership with structured finance and capital markets execution. He leads origination, underwriting, and capital structuring across the firm’s investment banking, real estate, and private equity platforms. Earlier in his career he held C-suite and product leadership roles building and scaling technology-enabled businesses — an operating perspective that shapes how Scuta structures, underwrites, and ultimately runs each investment.
